Q Arabica Grader – by Coffee Quality Institute (CQI). To remain certified, an active licensed Q Grader will join for an in-person calibration course/exam every 3 years.
This is a one-day course consisting of one pre-cupping exercise, followed by three cupping flights with distinct attributes. Starting 2023, participants will also undergo flavor calibration exercises with FlavorActiV. Successful participants will demonstrate cupping calibration by passing at least two out of three cuppings. For flavor calibration exercises, participants will receive a participation grade. Upon passing, your license will be extended for another thirty-six (36) months.
This course requires a minimum of 6 students and it runs from 10:00-18:30.
